This year's Nine Girls Ask Luncheon at the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego was amazing. Over 600 attendees were there to support Joan and Dick Wylie (and the other 8 girls) in the organization's
efforts to be a resource for women with Ovarian Cancer and to help find a cure. Joan said that while looking out on the audience from the stage she could feel this huge loving energy filling the room. I felt it too... for her, for the guests effected by this disease and everyone dealing with this condition. I loved being a part of this event. There were lots of great auction prizes, vendors and a wonderful lunch, naturally. Fabulous guitar music by
Bill Coleman and the high powered singing by
Trisha Kelly added so much to the festivities. Kelly's version of "This Girl's On Fire" to honor Joan as 2013 Woman of Inspiration gave me chills.
